Driven by the desire to reduce plastic waste and make use of locally sourced materials, the Buong Village Project, in collaboration with artisans from the traditional fan-making village, has developed a range of environmentally friendly products crafted from hand-processed Buong fibers—a natural by-product closely connected to the daily life and traditional livelihoods of the local community.
Once considered discarded material, dried Buong fibers are now “revived” through the skilled hands of artisans and craftsmen, transformed into lightweight cup holders, durable traditional Vietnamese palm fans, rustic breathable hats, and other fully natural products. These items are not only highly practical for everyday use but also contribute to replacing single-use plastic products, promoting a more responsible and sustainable consumption lifestyle.
Buong Village products offer several outstanding advantages:
– Environmentally friendly and free from harmful substances
– Reusable, helping to reduce plastic waste
– 100% handcrafted from natural Buong fibers
– Safe for users and the living environment

Products of the Buong Village Project
Each product is not merely a practical item, but also carries a story of indigenous knowledge, respect for natural resources, and dedicated efforts to preserve traditional craftsmanship. By choosing and using products made from Buong fibers, consumers make a small yet meaningful contribution to environmental protection and to supporting sustainable livelihoods for the local community.
Buong Village believes that small actions in our daily habits can create positive change for the Earth. From a simple cup holder, to traditional fans that offer relief on hot summer days, to eco-friendly hats that provide protection from sun and rain, the project seeks to spread a message of green living, responsible consumption, and harmony with nature.
